# How we verify College Council reviews

In short: every review on this site comes from a person we have confirmed by hand is a College Council client. We publish all of them, whatever the rating, unless they break our [review guidelines](/review-guidelines).

This is College Council's own reviews site, not an independent review platform. The company that runs it is named on the [Contact and site operator](/about) page.

## Who can write a review

Reviews are by personal invitation. We share a private review link with our clients ourselves, for example by email or WhatsApp. Who gets the link never depends on how the service went or on admission results.

## How we check

The form asks for the email address you used with us. It stays private: we use it only to confirm that you are our client and never publish it. A new review waits as “pending verification” until a person on our team has matched it with our client records by hand. Only then does it go live with the “Verified client” badge. If we cannot match it, we tell you and do not publish it.

- Under 18: a parent or guardian confirms by email before we publish.
- When you send a review, we compare the country your connection comes from with the country you gave. If they match, the review shows “Location checked” with that country's flag. We don't store your IP address with your review; our hosting provider keeps short technical logs.
- “Verified” means we confirmed that the reviewer, or their parent, used the service named on the review. It doesn't mean we agree with the review or have checked every statement in it. We don't check identity documents.
- No step is automated: a person reads and checks every review before it is published.

## What we publish

- Every review that follows the review guidelines, positive or negative. The same rules apply to every rating.
- The newest reviews come first. You can also sort by rating. We don't pin reviews or pick “best” ones.
- The average includes every published review and shows once there are 5. Next to it we show the number of reviews and how many gave each star rating.
- As of 21 Oct 2026 : 0 reviews published.

## Labels on reviews

- “Verified client”: confirmed by hand as described above.
- “Location checked”: the review was sent from the country its author gave.
- “Verified via LinkedIn”: we opened the LinkedIn profile the author gave, and it matches the name on the review.
- “Offer letter checked”: we saw the admission letter privately. It is never published.
- “Parent”: written by a parent or guardian about their child's experience.
- “Received free access or a discount from us”: we gave the reviewer something outside our public offers.
- “Personal connection to our team”.
- “Edited on [date]” and “Translated automatically. See the original.”

## What we never do

- No payments, discounts, gifts or prize draws for reviews.
- We never write reviews or ask anyone to write a positive one.
- We never choose whom to invite based on how satisfied they are.
- No one who works for us, and no spouse, parent, child or sibling of theirs, may post reviews here.

## Our replies

We reply to reviews, including critical ones. Replies are labelled as ours and signed with a name, usually Jakub Andre, the founder.

## Reviews of College Council elsewhere

We will link to College Council's profiles on other review sites once they are confirmed. We never copy reviews from them. We don't run those sites.
